Heat Pump Installation for Your Home or Business in Leeds

Leeds has some of the most mixed housing in Yorkshire, and that’s putting it mildly. You’ve got back-to-back terraces packed in near the city centre, big Victorian semis out in Chapel Allerton and Headingley, and whole new estates going up around Alwoodley and Rothwell. Whatever your street looks like, EcoGDEA fits heat pumps there.

We’re MCS certified, which matters more than it sounds, it’s what unlocks the government grant funding. And it’s the same engineers from your first visit right through to switch-on. No call centre, no different face turning up on installation day.

Why Choose EcoGDEA for Heat Pumps Installation?

Every job we do meets Microgeneration Certification Scheme standards. That's what keeps the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on the table for you.

Whoever surveys your Leeds home is the same person who fits the system. You won't be re-explaining yourself to someone new halfway through.

Some older Leeds terraces need insulation sorted first before a heat pump really earns its keep. We'd rather say that upfront than sell you something that underperforms.

Heat pumps need the odd check-up. Our servicing plans keep yours running well long after the engineers have packed up and left.

    Which System to choose?

    Air-To-Water System

Most people in Leeds end up going with this one. It works with the radiators or underfloor heating you’ve already got, so there’s no need to tear anything out. The system just runs at a lower temperature than your old boiler did. That’s actually a good thing if you’ve got the bigger radiators you’ll find in a lot of the older semis around Chapel Allerton and Headingley, they’re built for exactly this. Living in a back-to-back near Hyde Park or Burley? Still doable, though you might need to swap in a slightly larger radiator here and there to get the full benefit. And because it handles your hot water too, not just heating, it’s usually the simplest choice for a family home.

    Air-To-Air System

This one’s for people who want heat now, not in twenty minutes. It grabs warmth from outside and pushes it straight into the room. Quick to fit, easy to live with day to day. The one thing it won’t do is heat your bath water, so it tends to suit flats or some of the newer builds out towards East Leeds and Alwoodley, places where hot water’s already handled some other way.

    Ground Heat Pumps

You won’t see many of these in the city centre, gardens just aren’t big enough. But if you’re out towards Wetherby or Otley with a decent-sized plot, it’s genuinely worth a look. Pipes go underground and pull heat from the earth, which barely changes temperature whatever the season’s doing. Costs more up front, but you get very steady, reliable performance in return, good if you’ve got a bigger house to heat.

It really comes down to your property. A terrace usually costs less to fit than a larger detached home. We'll give you a proper figure once we've had a look round, not before.

Yes, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, worth up to £7,500. You need an MCS certified installer to claim it, which is us, and we sort the paperwork for you.

Most do. A handful need a bit of extra insulation first to get the best out of it, but that's something we check on the survey rather than assume either way.

Usually one to three days. Depends on the size of the property and whether we're upgrading any radiators while we're there.

Often, yes, especially in the bigger Victorian houses. Smaller terraces sometimes need one or two swapped for larger ones, but we'll tell you straight if that applies to your place.
